Battle of the Border Wrestling Meet

The wrestling team beat Upper Moreland in the Battle of the Border meet by one point with a score of 33-34. 

During the meet, senior AJ Tamberino, the transfer student from North Penn, secured his 101st career win with a pin. In his first year with the Hatters, the Hatters Tamberino was named captain alongside Logan Flynn and Patrick Chapman. In total, the Hatters had three pins, the other two coming from junior Jake Wood and sophomore Andrea Spinola. Logan Flynn also secured a W by a score of 9-0.

Going into the second to last match the Hatters were up 31-27. Sophomore Shubham Railkar beat his opponent 3-2, scoring his first points early, then managed to hold off his opponent from obtaining any points in the third round. This put the match out of Upper Moreland’s reach with a seven-point deficit.

After the meet, the team gathered around the center of the mat to celebrate their victory over the Bears. They posed behind Tamberino and his 100th win banner. Another name in the rafters, and another win for the Hatters. Congratulations, AJ!!
