Marching Band Takes on the Capital
On Jan. 13, the marching band went to the Capitol building in Harrisburg to receive an award for achieving first place in the State Championships.
Junior Anisha Kumar said, “Everyone got certificates and we were able to meet many people like Todd Stephens. It was so exciting.”
The marching band achieved also got three awards for best music, best visual and overall excellence in creativity and performance.
Sophomore Amanda Le said, “Touring the Capitol Building was amazing, just seeing how intricate everything was. One person even mentioned how almost everything there was made out of gold.”
Kumar said, “I had such a great time and it was nice to see that our hard work and dedication really paid off.”
“It was so motivational because it only is gonna push us to harder in the years to come so that we can go back again next year,” said Le.
