Theatre Department Announces Auditions
After nearly a year of inactivity, the Hatboro-Horsham Theatre Department has announced auditions for its upcoming performance of Songs For a New World, an abstract musical centered around four performers connected by one theme: decision.
On Jan. 11, director Lisa Litchko revealed the news via social media, catching the surprise of everyone.
“I can’t wait to get back to theatre,” said junior Anastasia Groden. “I missed performing with my friends and seeing them weekly.”
Contrary to previous years, auditions will be held entirely online. Students interested in auditioning must pre-record a video of themselves singing and dancing to a song from the show by Jan. 22 at 5:00. As of now, little is known about the question everyone wants to know the answer to: will the show be virtual or in-person? However, production manager Amanda Piergallini reassured that students who are 100% virtual can still participate in the show.
Check The Hat Chat for updates as more information comes, but for now, look forward to Songs for A New World this spring!
